Progress cannot make up it's mind yet New Labour Labour Blair or not to Blair, nobody says brand new schools with top teachers are failing, what we are saying they are in all shape and form grammar schools, so what about the areas which are failing because we do not have these schools.

We are still failing when we hear that a 1/4 of kids are leaving school unable to read and write, so where are the flag ships schools in my area.

Thats the problem

Academies are (like the Government) obsessed with 5 A*-C GCSE's as though these are some golden objective to solve society's problems. What happened to Contextual Value Added which, rather than measure what a pupil can do in a two hour period on a specific day, provides an assessment over a period of time and measures progress over years. Used by secondary schools and Ofsted as a real measure, why not by the Government?
