Maybe the LibDems are united about this, but you won't be alone in the Labour Party. And the scream of outrage in Ian Dale's Diary will find a good many echoes among the Tories. William Hague falling in line with the Government on this merely demonstartes that it is a cross party issue.

The issue - set out with awful clarity by the High Court - is the honesty, integrity and independence of our legal system. The joint stance of the two front benches is a disgrace to us all.
